Lakes District Air Rescue Trust operates from bases in Queenstown and Te Anau, covering some of  the most beautiful area of New Zealand. Our region extends from the Southern Ocean, Campbell and Auckland Islands, The Mutton Birds, Stewart Island, Fiordland and Mt. Aspiring National parks and servicing New Zealand's premier skifields of Coronet Peak, The Remarkables, Cardrona, Treble Cone, Waiourau Snow Farm and the world famous Routeburn, Milford, Hollyford, Greenstone and Caples Walks.

This spectacular scenery is visited by thousands annually. Sought after by film makers for the clear white film light and long summer hours. Trampers and back country adventurers all proclaim the region. Our helicopter operators are heavily involved in tourism and offer a wide range of sight seeing services and in conjunction with local tour operators, every type of heli-activity imaginable from skiing to white water river rafting, kayaking, bungy jumping, mountain biking, horse trekking, jet boating, you name it, it's here!
